Q: How will I collect my fresh flowers?

The following pick up and delivery schedule has been developed to offer flexibility to members.

CSA Member information

YOUR ATTENTION IS DRAWN TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Members must pay in advance for their share. This helps the farmer to plan their crops and finances.

  • Members must pick up their share on a regular basis.

  • Members must be flexible with the types of flowers they receive. The types of flowers that are available will vary depending on the season and the weather.

  • Members understand the weather-related risks of flower farming in Western Nebraska, and that a hail storm could end the season. Members will not receive a refund due to natural causes.

  • Members must be respectful of the farmer and their property. This includes things like being on time for pick-up, not damaging the flowers, and disposing of trash properly.

  • Members will not receive a refund if they decide to leave their CSA membership  before the end of the season.

FLOWER CSA MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By purchasing a BE Farm CSA share, for yourself or as a gift, you agree to the following BE Farm CSA Terms & Conditions as the recipient:

Payment for BE FARM CSA.

I understand that once I sign up and pay for my membership in full, I have secured my place in the BE Farm CSA for the respective season.

There are no refunds, either full or partial, for the cancellation of my BE Farm CSA once purchased.

Members may choose to find an alternate person to buy out the rest of the season’s share, and the share ownership will be transferred to the alternate person. The alternate person will pay the original shareholder directly. I (the purchaser) understand that I am responsible for informing BE Farm if such a transfer occurs.

Start Dates for BE Farm FLOWER CSA

I understand that the start date of each BE Farm CSA share is flexible, based on seasonal conditions and product availability. It is my responsibility to contact the BE Farm via email at bjestes84@gmail.com with any questions.

Picking Up Your BE Farm Flower CSA Share

I understand that my share will be delivered weekly to the pickup location or to my location if I selected delivery. If I am out of town or unable to pick up my CSA for any reason, I understand that it is my responsibility to find a substitute to collect my share. If I am unable to pick up my share I will entitle a friend to do so.

I understand that if my share is not picked up on the designated day, within the designated time, I forfeit that share, and that it will be donated at the discretion of the farmer. I will not receive credit or a refund for any shares that I do not pick up.

I agree to not sign up for the CSA knowing that I cannot make it to pick up on the designated day & time.

I agree to not arrive early or late to the pickup location expecting my share to be available. I understand that the pickup location is also a place of business and that I am not to interrupt or distract staff in the course of their duties.

I understand that I am responsible for bringing a container to transport my floral share home in. All bins are to be left at the CSA pick-up location.

SPLITTING MY SHARE

I may coordinate the splitting of my BE Farm CSA share with another individual. I understand that BE Farm does not facilitate such arrangements, and does not coordinate special payment on split shares. I will make all arrangements myself for collecting payment from the individual with whom I am splitting my share.

SHARING THE RISK / WHAT HAPPENS TO MY SHARE IF A NATURAL DISASTER OCCURS THAT WIPES OUT THE FLOWERS?

I understand that as a member of the BE Farm CSA, I share in both the bounty and the risks of farming. Our crops are almost entirely (95%) field grown and we are at the mercy of Mother Nature.  While we make efforts to mitigate losses, weather (drought, hail, frost, etc.) and pests can impact our crops and the availability of flowers for the subscription.  Signing up for the subscription means you share in both the risk and rewards of farming with us.  We will endeavor to be prepared for what nature has in store.

COMMUNICATION

I understand email is how BE Farm communicates updates and changes. By signing up for the CSA, I understand that I will be added to the weekly email list, and I agree to add Bjestes84@gmail.com to my email contacts.

BE Farm will not be held responsible for miscommunications due to e-mails going to your spam folder or promotions tab. I will notify the farm immediately if I do not receive an e-mail receipt of my payment or my weekly CSA emails.
